Botticelli’s history began over 40 years ago. We opened our first boutique on Fifth Avenue in 1968; since then, Botticelli became a brand with a tradition of outstanding craftsmanship and continuous quality.

With its original roots in Florence, Italy, Botticelli has been dedicated to create superior shoes. We introduced the concept of timeless classics, mixing the aesthetics of Italian and English nobility, created and produced by the master craftsmanship of Tuscan artisans.

Botticelli’s brand enjoyed a great success from the early days, as it attracted a sophisticated international clientele, such as Dustin Hoffman, Sylvester Stallone, Johnny Carson, Mickey Rourke, Calvin Klein, Gianni Agnelli, Luca di Montezemolo, Whitney Houston, The Jackson Five, Ivana Trump and Andy Warhol just to name a few. Furthermore, Botticelli gained such popularity that Seinfeld dedicated an entire show to Botticelli, called “The Shoes.”

Botticelli’s shoes are beyond fashion, our great styles never date, although colors and details may vary from season to season; our products became renown for its timeless design. Next to our permanent collection of timeless classics, we offer a range of styles, which are addressed, to customers who look for chic essential trends and accessories.

During the late 1960’s, there were only a few other boutiques in New York, such as Gucci, and Botticelli quickly gained recognition as one of top shoe brands in the world.

Botticelli kept growing in recognition for being innovative and being the first to have major Italian designers such as Sergio Rossi, Tod’s and Rene Caovilla, creating shoes for our brand before they were known to the US.

Our flagship store was founded at the Rockefeller Center, where it remains today, with sister locations at Bryant Park- Fifth Avenue at 44th and MoMA- Fifth Avenue at 53rd.

We are proud to be a family company, and today, the new generation of Botticelli continues to reflect our brand’s tradition for exceptional craftsmanship and timeless design.
